Domaine Neumeyer

Alsace, France

Generations of Neumeyer have nurtured the estate’s vines since 1925, generally striving for a dry style of wine which favours substance and texture, whilst incorporating a balance between acidity and bitterness

In the vineyards, each plot is managed in accordance with the principles of organic winegrowing, with surface tilling, green cover with native flora, hand-picking and selection of grapes, plot selection and measured yields.

Our Range

Overview

Considering the winery Neumeyer, four generations have succeeded one another since 1925, nurturing the estate’s vines in order to get the very best out of them. A tribute to their tenacity and their hopes, as well as any doubts they may have had, is necessary here.

Domaine Neumeyer’s terroirs lie on the Muschelkalk, which consists of shell-bearing limestone, a component found in all of our vineyards and which constitutes the common denominator in their wines. The symbol of this shell-bearing limestone has therefore quite naturally become the logo in order to identify our estate and some of the cuvées.

They generally strive for a dry style of wine which favours notions of substance and texture, whilst incorporating a balance between acidity and bitterness. The geographical situation of Molsheim in the north of Alsace’s winegrowing area is also a criterion applied in assessing the wines that reflects a freshness and a tension unique to its geography, a common denominator throughout the range and, more particularly, regarding wines rooted in a very specific locale, specific named plots and our Grand Cru Bruderthal.
